Western Allied Mechanical (WAM) is a design/build mechanical contractor celebrating its 60 year anniversary. For this impressive milestone, WAM asked us to modernize their brand identity, while retaining their DNA. In response, we polished their logo, punched up their brand messaging, and created a suite of collateral that strongly positions them for another 60 years.

Rebranding can be a painful process for clients, with a lot of history and emotion at play. From the start, we remained sincere to WAM’s brand legacy, while bringing fresh perspectives to light.
In refreshing the WAM identity, we started by deconstructing their existing brand and the key attributes of their legacy. Once we developed and finalized logo concepts, we examined them on industry related products like: hardhats, trucks, and t-shirts. This was an exciting process for WAM, as their team was able to see how the logo would morph from concept to real world.
For WAM’s digital needs, we incorporated a more dramatic photography style to create depth, contrast, and elegance. WAM also asked us to implement several custom tools, including digital newsletter functionality, which allowed them to create and publish their bi-annual “Shop Talk” newsletter. This feature was baked right into their Wordpress CMS, enabling WAM to share company news, stories, and highlights in a modern way.

Their industry knowledge, insightful questions, and process were a pleasant surprise and made us realize early on that we do not need to have all the answers. NK Interactive is not a vendor, they are a strategic partner. We have been pleased with everything from the messaging strategy, creative output and workflow automation tools allowing us to respond in a unified and expedient manner to new opportunities."Yindy Felkins, Project Executive
